How can I connect Sata HDD as Master and IDE DVDRW as Slave?

I am doing a mew build on an Asus MB. There is only one IDE connector on the board and 4 Sata connectors. I want to connect the 160 Gig Seagate (SATA) as master for XP PRO and the DVD burner as slave (IDE). I can’t seem to get the right combo of connections to do this so both are recognized as I want them. Is there a way to do this without usinga SATA to IDE adapter?
