How can I verify my TCP/IP configuration

Does anyone know of a utility that can check the TCP/IP configuration on a Win98 machine? I would like a program that will actually explain how to correct any errors.

My machine has such a problem, as identified by an installation program. However, the installation program cannot be specific, so I do not know what the problem is. I have no problem accessing my company network, and transferring data between machines. However, I frequently have problems connecting to the internet via a Wingate client, and the installation program seems unable to create TCP ports on my machine.

Any help with troubleshooting this issue or links to further resources would be appreciated.
