How do I format Windows ME?

I had windows 98 SE on my computer but couldnt print cuz it apparently wasnt loaded right. So I installed Windows ME. Now it can’t find the modem, the speakers wont work, and it doesnt recongize my monitor over 16 bits of color. It really messed up my computer. I was going to restart it in DOS mode and completely format it,but it doesnt give me that choice. Now I don’t know how to get rid of the stupid Win ME. I’m going to get another Win 98 SE cuz thats only one I trust now. Could anyone answer this question. I’m out of ideas.
