Hi,
I have an NT Server 4.0 which acts as a RAS
server through ISDN. It is set up as follows:
RAS Service: Both RAS ports set up as Send &
Receive. Network: TCP/IP only, clients get
IP address from the server’s DHCP service.
Authentication: Any incl. clear text.
Dial-up Networking on remote users’
computers (Windows 98): Log on to network,
only TCP/IP, any authentication incl. clear
text.
The users who need RAS connection, have RAS
permission granted. They have a logon script
defined, which runs fine when logging on to
the server from their local offices (via
the LAN).
When dialling to the server, I get an error
telling there are no domain servers
available, thus the logon script is never
run, and I cannot browse the network. The
ISDN connection is there, though, and I can
connect to the server using PcAnywhere.
Are there any special settings I need to
make, be it on the server or the remote
users’ computers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
