Gentlemen, my operating system is Windows XP and I have a dial-up modem and its speed is 56K. I use Internet Explorer exclusively – it is rare that I would use Outlook Express however I am told by the tech’s where I have a service contract that my Outlook Express is CORRUPT and a quick restore is needed to solve the problem. Is there any way that I can save my address book (individual specific details) from being destroyed, my favorites, my documents, my music, any and all programs downloadedon this computer quickly, easily, and painlessly? If I have to document all this material by hand, I’ll be here until I have a beard to my knees! In preparation for “future restorations” do you have any suggestions to back-up material so I do not have to worry about loosing it? The last time I did a quick restore, I lost 23 pages or details for several hundred people in my address book. See my fear and concern? There has to be a way to do this with all the technology available. Please help because I am not technically inclined so please simplify explanations. Denny. KA3NBO1@excite.com
