How long for learning Visual Basic?

Could anyone fill me in how long would be the mimimum time required to learn Visual Basic (from stratch) to be able to use it to write/convert software on the job? (I was told that VB was easier to learn than Java or C++. I already know Java pretty well and am at an intermediate level in C++.)
