how to attach files in VB program like g

I have one thought that why VB can’t attach files like Lotus Notes or other mail systems do? It is a good idea if I can attach any file when running a VB application. Just one click and I can access this file without leaving VB application environment. Please give me an answer whether VB support such function or not? Thanks a lot…
