How to boot my OS from a SATA?

by larryjr88 . Updated 19 years ago

I recently got a new computer from Cyberpower.

It worked fine when it shipped, but I, like a moron, reset the bios settings back to default while messing around. Now, when I try to boot, it tells me, “Missing Operating System.”

I think the problem is that Vista is installed on one of my two SATA drives, which, for some reason, won’t boot properly. It keeps trying to boot from my IDE CD drives.

I’ve searched my BIOS settings from top to bottom and cannot find an option to have it boot from a SATA, rather than my CD drive.

I’m using an Asus Extreme Striker MOBO which has Phoenix AwardBIOS.

I would really appreciate any help on how to get the darn thing to boot my OS from my SATA again like it used to.

Thanks!
