how to change passwords for domain trust

Can someone give me a quick run through of the steps to change a password in a complete trust nt 4 sp6 domain? We have 3 domains with a-b trusting each other and b-c trusting each other both ways. I remember something about there being a specific order for setting the passwords. Can anyone verify this? Thanks!
