How to connect to Domain with 2 NIC’s

I have Windows NT4.0 with SErvice pack 6 with two nic ( 2 ethernet cards ) both joining different classes of ip.

My problem when I activate both NIC cards I am unbale to join the Domain but when i activate one network which connects to Domain it does connect .

What could be the problem.
