How to develop for PDA

We are currently developing PHP/ MySql Internet based applications for SMEs. One customer has asked for PDA controlled functionality. (The customer is a night club, and want their bouncers to have access to the membership DB through PDAs while working on the door.) Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
