How to Extract emails from Exchange 2000

Recently we had a problem in our exchange server. We restored information store from the 4 days old backup. After restoring the information store I users have emails till 4 days old. I have latest database file backup. But I don’t have transaction log , edb*.chk and e*.log files. is there any menthod to extract mails from priv1.edb files.
