How to get a login screen

How to get a login screen after a new install if the user is not prompted for a login. I have found that if I change the uses password, I am given a login box, but with an error stating that the system cannot log me in.. If I supply the new passwordI can login. But the error will be the same on each login. It appears that the auto-login feature of W2K is not reset able to a new password. How can I remove auto-login. and go back to a standard login CTRL-ALT-DELETE
