How to install W2k with Active Directory on NT4 PDC?
We have NT 4 PDC running IIS 4 (Live web server.) On this server we are running our web application. We are also running Exchange 5.5 on another member server.
Now we want to install W2K with Active Directory on our domain ie want to upgrade from NT4 to W2K domain.
My Q’s:
1) Should we upgrade our current NT4 PDC (only PDC in our NT4 domain) to W2k? If yes then what is the procedure. I mean any thing to be cautious about when doing that.
2)or should we install W2K + Active directory on another Pc & then bring the NT4 down.
3)or Should we install W2K as BDC of NT 4 PDC & then bring the NT 4 down & then promote the W2K BDC to PDC? If yes then at what step Active directorywas installed?
Buddies suggest some thing valuable but as soon as possible as our company wants to do it within no time.
