I’ve looked everywhere for this and i can’t seem to find it. I know that the solution must be obvious, but I just can’t seem to dig it up:
We run a Windows NT network here, with Windows 98 and Windows 2000 client workstations. We use CAI’s Inoculan/InoculateIT virus scan. I’d like people to be able to update the virus scan on their workstations, but i do not want to give them priviledges to modify anything else. I know that the autodownload works on our local network, but we have many mobile laptops, and remote locations that connect to the internet through a variety of methods.
How can i set the remote windows 2000 workstations so that a “Power User” or even a “guest” can update and install the virus scan updates, and the Windows Updates… but not modify anything else on the system?
Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
