HP 4000 print problem from Windows 98

Has anyone ever run across this problem? I have a Windows 98 PC that will not send print jobs to the second tray on an HP LaseJet 4000, it is the only one in the office with this problem, other 98 PCs are fine. I have tried new drivers deleting and recreating the printer to no avail. The printer displays “load A4” however when you press the “Go” button it prints one page at a time.
