HP Deskjet 712c printer with Windows ME

I loaded Windows ME on my Compaq Presario(4640) few months ago. Since then I have not been able to print to my HP Deskjet 712c printer. I can print to it from an NT computer just fine and did not have any problems when I had Win 95 loaded on my Compaq. I have tried everything I could from reinstalling the printer driver to playing with the BIOS settings. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me???
