HP freezes on startup and screen blinks

I have a HP Pavillion 720a, which is just 12 months old, I have had a new hard drive replaced, the ram has been changed over and new drivers added, yet I still have the same problem, of the computor freezing up and a black screen blinks at you when it starts up. As I am a novice, I would appreciate any help.
