Hp iPaq Pocket PC 2002

I need the software for a Hp iPaq Pocket PC 2002.
I get a display screen and a message to tap the “x” on the screen to set it up but it does not set up. I tried to find the software on the HP site but it says it is no longer available.
Does anyone have an idea where I can find it or what to do with this Pocket PC. I have never used one before. I am trying to help a friend out.
