HP Laser Jet prints hearts on 1st sheet

I have a HP Laser Jet 2100 printing hearts on the 1st sheet then it prints what I asked it to afterwards. I have uninstalled the drivers, rebooted, installed drivers from the CD that came with the printer. Also used the software from the website and did it the same way. No results. Using Windows 98 Second Edition with all updates from Windows. With Office 97, printing with Word that causes the problem. Also reinstalled Office 97.
