HP Pavilion 6535 Ethernet Card

I have a HP Pavilion 6535 that has both a Modem card and a Belkin F5D5000 Ehternet Card. The Modem card works correctly, but the Belkin Ethernet card or the computer itself is fighting the installation of the drvier for it.

I went directly to Belkins website and downloaded the correct driver (this machine is running WIN98).

When I try to install it it locks up the computer. I’ve even gone to DriverGuide.com and downloaded a few different files there and ended up with the same result.

I know this is an old machine but it works fine otherwise, and would like to have both the Ethernet Card and Modem Card on it since the person that is getting the machine lives out of state and hasn’t told me what he’s to be using to access the internet.
