Hyperlinks fail to work

I am running Windows XP Home on DSL. For the last three weeks I can not get aproximately 60% of the hyperlinks to work. When I paste the hyperlink into address bar it pulls up aproximately 85% of the sites. How do I get it to work 100% like it used to?
