I Can not see whats on the screen

When I switch on my laptop, it shows quite alright that it is starting and loading windows
and after it finishes to load, it just goes blank and i cant see any thing but can hear windows sounds. if I press Alt + F4 to shutdown, it then shows on thescreen that WINDOWS IS NOW SHUTING DOWN.
I dont know whether the VGA drivers are corrupt or not.
