Icon Change

Hello all,
I wrote a simple little program in Qbasic to automate a process were I work. I created the EXE file and eveerything works fine. I want to change the Icon apperance. When I right click and select change properties, I get the option to do this. However when I select a new Icon it only creates a shortcut with the new icon, it doesn’t change the EXE icon itself. How can I change the actual Icon of the EXE file.
