IE 5 closing windows

hi,

I have a problem with IE 5.0 running on win 98,
when i try to close the last IE window while it is still searching for the site that is there or in busy status, it gives an error saying an illegal operation occurred in kernel….etc
after this i am not able to close the prompt that gave the error message even though there is a close button.
