IE Save Favorites dialog

by ggonline1 . Updated 24 years ago

Is there a way to change the features and/or layout of the IE Save Favorites dialog (specifically IE6)? I know how to add, delete, modify the default Windows Open and Save dialogs at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\comdlg32\PlacesBar.

Is there a way to add PlacesBar type shortcuts to the IE dialog? The dialog for Favorites is different from all other files. Is there a way (even programming hooks) to switch to the default non-Favorites dialog?

If not, is there a way to specify a different (foreground or background) font color than the default Windows Selection Font (under Settings\Display Properties) if “Favorites” is used as the IE Explorer Bar? I would only need the different font for the IE Explorer Bar. I set my Windows Selection Font as a light color (other pure white, I use a light yellow) on a dark color background. This makes the folder and favorite names almost invisible against a white background.
