IE6 in Win2k sp2

The IE6 I have on the Win2k Pro sp2 machne is now giving me ‘error on page’ almost where ever I roam on the web. Just going to a site will give an ‘error on page’ in the lower left as the page finishes loading.I’ve done the repair and replace that the O/S allows and since it is sp2 I see that I cannot deinstall the product to try a lower version. Any suggestions ?
