IE6 won’t go to URL within a window

When I go to any site i.e. www.dallasnews.com and click the cars.com button. Normally this would open a new window within IE6 and go to that site. What’s happening is the new window will open but it’s transparent and the world swirls around with thebutterfly blinking. It doesn’t go to the site cars.com. I have used the repair tool in Add/Remove option, went to previous IE 5.5 and the reinstalled IE6 and it didn’t fix the problem. So…if anyone has the answer, I’d greatly appreciate it. I don’t have this problem with any other browser.
