I have a web server with 3 NIC cards
NIC1: 23 IP addresses mapped ?class c?
NIC 2: 1 IP address
NIC 3: 1 IP Address
Running W2k+SP1+all post SP1 Fixes
On this machine there are 23 domains each one of them using an IP address from the NIC 1, now when I map a new IP address to the NIC1 as IP number 24, and go to IIS I get this error:
Internet Services Manager
? Error connecting to server name
Not enough resources are available to complete this operation
Do u wish to continue to attempt to connect to it in the future??
In this stage if you click yes or no it wont make a difference because you wont be able to manage or see the ISM, so that you wont be able to create a new domain or control the other existing domains, at this stage the IIS will still be running and serving the other 23 already created domains. If you remove the newly added IP address from the NIC you will be able to get back everything to normal accessing the ISM and control the domains.Keeping the newly added IP address and rebooting the machine will cause the www and ftp services not to start unless you remove the newly added IP address on NIC1.
This way I cant add any new domain to my IIS server and I was hoping that SP2 might fix my problem but it didn?t also.
Any ideas?
