IIS system error8

by paul.jones . Updated 24 years, 3 months ago

I had a web server running on Windows 2000, everyting was working fine….so I upgraded to windows XP pro, now IIS will not start, I get ”

System Error 8: storage space unaviliable to process this command”

At first I felt this was a access problem so I check user access to run the services and everything was ok there< I have more then enough disk space so I knew this should not be the issues. At the Microsoft KB I found 3 articles with the above error message, one said re install service packs, being this is XP I re installed all the updates for XP and still had the same error, the other artical referenced a hkey key being over 32k, I check that key and it had the default values. I have not been able to find anything else to fix this, I had the firewall off and tried turning it on and alowing web traffic to no avail and uninstalled re installed IIS. Anyone have any ideas where or what I should look at? Thanks Paul
