I have problems for a P4 1.9 845WN Intel Board, errors in my event viewer (repeatedly, sometimes every 1 minute for an hour), strange noise while my DVD is spinning down, BSOD STOP errors IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL (0x00000008, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804ECA2D) and my Drives disappear while working in Windows (not after reboot just 1 minute its there and the next time I go to use it its gone) and I get errors many many errors:
Event ID:1003 Category (102) System Error BSOD: Error code 0000000a, parameter1 00000008, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804eca2d.
Event ID: 12 The device ‘CDWRITER IDE2410’ (IDE\CdRomCDWRITER_IDE2410_______A.23____\5&259dd3ad&0&0.1.0) disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal.
Event ID: 7026 The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:Cdrom redbook
My system is as follows
P4 1.9 Intel 845WN
768 SDRAM 133
Primary IDE Master: Seagate 15GB HD
Primary IDE Slave: ATAPI DVD STAR2000 (BIOS set to CD-ROM disable multiread, Mode 4, Mode 2)
Pacific Digital CD-RW 24x10x40: using Oak Tech. Drivers and SimpleCD software dset same as above
Video: AGP ATI RADEON 8500
Onboard Sound: Analog Systems SoundMax
Additional notes:Intel App Accelorator installed then removed but still using the drvs for bus master/ATA controller, and I have the lastest BIOS and MOB drivers as well as the lastest vid and sound drivers. Cant find any drivers for my CDRW or DVD nor can Pacific Digital find the correct firmware for it because my CD-RW model is not listed on their download site.
I have also read up on the IRQL issue at windows and intel which both basically say root out the hardware devices/drivers causing a problem and change or remove them. Have talked to intel thinking bad controllers and they said bad CD-RW. So I talked Pacific whos says not bad CD-RW they say its a Intel Board issue.
