In VB 5 how do I……………..

If you r reading this you are a VB programmer. As you know to connect to a database you can use the tool in the toolbar to connect to your database! What I am trying to do is allow the user to type in the database name in to this control with out having to do any programming their self?s. So what I thought is can you put the database name into a text file so the data control tool can read it! This will also allow the user to connect to the database every time he/she starts the program.
