infrared printer Hp Laser 2200.

I have Dell insprion notebook with w2k prof. I got infrared port communicated with hp laser printer 2200,(light is flashing), but I couldn’t get the printer print. I am not certain if I need to configure the port from bios for printer or remove the port from device manager for redecting(ECP is under device manager), what port I should use for the printer,(Lpt3 or lpt 2, lpt1 is taken)
any suggestion?
