We have installed a LAN in our neighbourhood. The ISP charges for the connection directly to the Internet backbone but not for servers inside the DMZ or WAN:s connected directly to the DMZ like Sunet (Swedish University Network). So if I download anapplication from e.g. a server in Sunet it does not affect the statistics and the ISP will not ask to charge us for a faster connection. There is a cgi-script at the ISP:s server where we can check if a site is within the DMZ. However most people won’t take the trouble to check this. Is there an applet that can be used in a frame or in a Netscape sidebar to tell you if a net adress is inside or outside the DMZ, while your surfing, e.g. by hovering your pointer above the adress in a search result?
