While doing a fresh 2000 install when device detection is taking place. I get a blue screen message”system has halted contact hardware vendor”. I ran the chkupgrade program to check to see if my hardware was o.k. I have an ASUS K7V AMD Athalon 750with a Maxtor 7200RPM 30 GB HD, a Real3d Starfighter AGP. Any idea what could be wrong.
