Install on-demand

I’m wondering if anyone has any experience in customizing the add/remove programs menu. I have seen it implemented before where the user opens up add/remove programs, and has a list of programs that you can install from a server. Does anyone have any experience setting something like that up on an NT network? Is it possible?
