Install printer drivers on XP Pro error

Getting the following error: “The RPC server is unavailable.”, in the “New Hardware Wizard” when installing printer software using factory CD from HP Photosmart 7550 on a desktop PC as a local printer. Running Windows XP Pro.
I’ve verified the USB cable and port is not the problem.
Any ideas?
