Install xp professional sp2 with raid 0?

I bought an xp disk that works on my regluar desktop but when I try it on my laptop which has raid 0 it says it says ( ounce the disk finishes loading the windows files ) it cannot detect a drive and make sure its connected yadayada I already have windows vista on my laptop but I want to clean install xp I assume it is because I have raid 0 and need to do something? Or do I have to format first, please help thank you!
