Installation of SCSI controller in NT4.0

I’m trying to install NT40 server on a Compaq ap550 with an Ultra3 SCSI controller. It recognizes the controller initailly then says there are no drives connected to the PC. Does anyone have a solution to get NT4.0 server to install the controller to recognize the drives?
