Installing a Digital device

I need to install a Sony ICD Recorder
Digital Voice Player Version 1.1 for Windows 95/98 systems on a Windows 2000 Pro system. There is an update for Windows NT systems Version 1.2
that I found online, the problem is I can’t find the device when installing on a plug and play system.
The device connects to a parallel port on a Dell laptop which is docked. Should I enable Enhanced Parallel Port support or what should I do?
