Installing a W2K Server

I installed W2K Server and tryed to do a DCPROMO, so that I have a frist domain controller. When going true the installation wizard of DCPROMO, once I arrive at the installation of AD (Active Directory), I receive an error : “Network is not accessible”. I have one network card & defined an ip-address (in house range).
This server is not on the LAN. I try to make a test lab. Did somebody already encountered that problem ?
