Installing PCAnyWhere/Windows Pro 2000

When attempting to install Symantec PCAnyWhere I get an error and an installation rollback. The installation gets to about 10% then fails and rollsback. This creates the following error in the MicroSoft Event Viewer: Event ID: 1000 Source: MsInstaller. “Object Installation failed with errors” (this is close to the exact error). This is on a Windows 2000 Pro. machine with Spk2 installed. I installed the software on several other machines with the same configuration and did not get any errors. Does any one have any information about the Event id: 1000 Source: MsInstaller? I found Event id: 1000 with several different Sources but none with the source: MsInstaller…Is this a registry problem?
