I work in a school setting. The labs are used by many different students throughout the day. My boss ordered 10 new machines with win2k instead of staying with win98 which is on the other machines. The class is using mostly adobe software such as pagemaker, photoshop, premiere. I would like to be able to install it once and have it be accessed by any user that sits at the computer. So far, I can get some programs to work by copying the info into the default users and all users profiles. However, the printers will not stay installed for each user, and adobe pagemaker says it can’t find it’s registry files when students try to access it. I also installed Ms frontpage 2000, and the computer acts like its not installed at all, and prompts for installation disks. I like win2k, but for multiple users, its proving to be a headache. Is there a solution to allow everyone to use the same programs, are am I better off going back to win98? Thanks for your input.
