I have started getting the message “Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. Do you want to select another domain to administer?” when I try to open User Manager for Domains, either from the domain controller or from an NT workstation, and also when I try to set security permissions on folders on other servers in our domain. Technet only has one reference to this, and I don’t think it applies (says it is for NT 3.5 and 3.51). If I reboot the domain controller, it goes away for awhile, but then returns again after a day or two. This started happening about 4 weeks ago, and we’ve had the same domain controller for over 4 years (non-brand clone type), with no serious problems. The server has 384MB of Ram and176MB free on the C: drive (1 GB partition), along with a 20 GB raid array (F: drive) and two other partitions (G: and H: drives) of 1 and 2 GB (same spindle as the C: drive). Anyone have any ideas about the cause? Thanks. Vernene Scheurer
