Integrating Unix into existing w2k netwo

i run a native w2k network and need to integrate a unix server into it. i am at the beginning stages and have yet to install solaris. can anyone lead me in the right direction as to where i should begin. i am not familiar with unix and not sure how to integrate. i will not be authenticating users through the unix box.. it’s basically a server that will run oracle and apache and will be accessed by one other server on our 2000 network. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
