Internal Zip drive becomes External?

I would like to take the internal zip drive out of my machine to make room for another drive. Still I would like to use the zip drive as an external drive. My question:

Can I use an enclosure kit for internal hard drives (it allows an internal hard drive to function externally, through a USB connection) to with an internal zip drive?
