Internet Connection Sharing

When i connect to Intenet from the internet connection sharing machine, the connection breaks if the line has been idle for some time (5 minutes in my case) just like it should, but when i connect to internet from another machine, the line does not break when the connection has been idle for five minutes. What’s wrong.
