Internet Explorer

Internet explorer 4 in one of my Servers could not connect to the Internet. I uninstalled Internet Explorer 4 and tried to install Internet Explorer 5 when the installation got to a stage it stopped. I can see other Servers on the network from this Server and can also ping outside (default gateway is not the problem). I don’t have this problem with other Servers. What can I do to correct this problem. I am running out of patience.
