Internet Explorer 5

I’ve just installed Windows NT as a BDC. It sees the Network and able to communicate with other computers on the network but I can’t log on to the Internet through this computer and when I tried to ping outside I was unsuccessful. Right now I can’teven install Internet explorer 5 as an upgrade because it doesn’t allow me to. What can I do? Help!!!
