Internet Explorer 5.5 Invalid Page Fault

I am getting the following error when I try to use IE5.5

IEXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module OLE32.DLL at 0137.65f27adf.

At first IE4.x was running on this machine.
It was upgraded to IE5.5. I have uninstalled IE5.5 completely (registry entries) and re-installed IE5.5 but still get the same (above) error message.
